I have some white powdery mildew taking over my cantaloupes. What are some methods that you have tried and worked.Looking online I have seen seen baking soda mixed with Castile soap, hydrogen peroxide, and sulfur (when temps permit).Due to its anti fungal properties, I was thinking that tea tree oil might work as well.Please let me know what you have had success with. I kinda like it, no kidding, I'm helping it spread on the front yard and it comes out looking like a chiseled cake after I'm done mowing the lawn. Nimblewill, along with chocolate mint, have helped me combat creeping charlie and broadleaf plantain. I just hope the lawn gets completely overtaken before winter so everything is uniformly brown lol

Should I put the cutting in water for some days till it grows roots?

My family just moved to a new home. There is quite a number of poorly cared for beds which are river rock covered (2-3 cm mostly) rather than mulched. The landscaping was poorly cared for with weeds that have long since destroyed the underlying weed barrier, lots of day Lilies that are not very attractive, and greens that have large portions browned and dying. The whole area needs a lot of work. I am trying to wrap my head around working with the rock. How do I plant in it? Will I just remove the rock, dig in an area to amend the soil, then plant larger plants and then reapply the rock around? Am I able to remove the rock to plant perineal type bulbs and then relay the rock - will the bulbs be able to sprout through it? Just looking for overall recommendations for planting and growing the landscaping with rock-covered beds.

I have a very small terrace with limited sunlight. I planted a wisteria plant in the small strip of soil I have, which has sent out a shoot towards the sunny wall where I want the wisteria to completely take over. Unfortunately so far, it's just a single shoot and it's growing fast but not branching out at all. Some pictures here.I tried pruning it so it would split into two branches, but that didn't work. Any advice to make it branch out instead of just growing its one shoot upwards? The goal is to have it cover the wall.

Hi all, apologies for the newbie question. I'm starting a small garden on my terrace, and have no access to water there (but access to electricity). I'm thinking of ways to set up an automated watering system based on a water tank/bucket that I would fill regularly. This Aquabloom system from Gardena looks like it could do the job. Good day! I am attempting to assist my step father in Albuquerque with creating a partial shade in the summer sun. Like morning glories that could handle Albuquerque sun for 8-10 hours a day.My plan is to create a large triangle using the far wall of the yard and the upper part of the roof. I would like to put a trellis against the wall, context some strings to the top if of the trellis, then to the top of the roof creating an acute angle.What would be some vines that could work for something like that?
