Over-wintering Calibrachoa (Million Bells, Mini Petunia)?

Image
I'm in New England Zone 6a and now, on the last day of November, I'm surprised to see that my potted calibrachoa is still green and thriving (no flowers, though) outdoors.I want to keep this brave little plant alive through the winter and I'm wondering if any of you have experience/advice overwintering calibrachoa indoors. Can I get it to bloom again? Thanks!

Help! How can I get rid of these insects?

Image
These tiny black insects are only on my rosemary plant (on the leaves but mostly under, as you can see in the photos), and they've been there for about a month now. Never used to be there. Not a new environment either. Any idea what these are and how to get rid of them?

The rest of my harvest for now. About 4-5 kgs in my first season

Guidance appreciated on acers / Japanese maples

Image
I have a spot in my garden (UK) where a deep space is available and it's not too exposed, so I think acers would do very well. I'd like to plant maybe three complementary acer trees, but am really overwhelmed by the sheer diversity of shapes, colours and sizes available. After several days of Google searches I'm hopeful someone with great knowledge of acers will be able to provide some quick pointers to help narrow my search.Generally I'm looking for:A mid to large sized standard tree with a wide canopy to create a dappled shade. Ideally not a tall canopy, something more focused on umbrella form.A tall, more narrow form tree to go behind that, in complementary / attractively contrasting colours. I've seen some which have elegantly cloud like side-branches, which I guess are the classically Japanese shape?A lower, shrub-like tree which is more about structure to sit in front of the other two, I'm drawn to the coral / red stemmed ones for this but the ones I'

Chickens ate all the leaves of my young passionfruit vine

Image
Oops, probably the most important part. I forgot to cage the passionfruit plants and now there's no leaves left, will the plants be ok? We've got rain for the next few days. We've gotten over 100mm rain in the last 24 hours. I buried them above the ground so they won't drown but totally forgot about the wire!

Frangipani (plumeria) has a lot of rusty leaves, should I be worried about pests and disease or it is seasonal fall

Bidens Pilosa

Image
I recently bought a plant that didn’t have a label. I assumed it couldn’t be so harmless but it turned out to be (according to a plant ID app) Bidens Pilosa or Common Blackjack. What’s the worst it can do? Do I need to get rid of it?

best watermelon varieties to grow?

Image
Okay I kind of struggle with watermelon because when I get a watermelon that fits the criteria for a "good" watermelon it's perfectly sweet and tastes amazing, but the texture is too mushy for me. And then when I get a watermelon that doesn't fit the criteria for a good watermelon it has the perfect texture, but it's not sweet enough. I can't get past the mushy texture at all, I always have to make watermelon juice when that happens. No seedless varieties allowed

How do I deal with snails and slugs?

Image
I am trying to grow basil, sage (maybe breggarten?), and mint. I bought one pot of each 2-3 weeks ago. I put the mint and sage each in a flower box, and the basil in a (medium) flower pot. It's winter here (mainly rain and cold), so pretty soon garden snails and slugs started to eat them---especially the sage, with over half of its leaves now eaten. Since I plan to eat them, I bought a natural-based snail and slug repellent. It's based on some Gaultheria oil thing. It doesn't work. Slugs and snails just go to the planters' brim and bypass the barrier I sprinkled around them. I tried that old-wives tale of cooper wire. It doesn't work. And it looks like the copper barrier needs to be at least 5cm thick to work anyway (preferably 10cm and up). Salt isn't an option since it'll kill plants. Using synthetic snail and slug bait to kill them isn't an option either. I don't want to find out if it does break down and enter plants or not (and thus would enter

Pesticide got sprayed on/near my veg patch, how ruined is it?

Image
We had pest treatment on our property and common areas yesterday, and at least some spray got on and around our veg beds. We managed to find out that the pesticide used is called Temprid. Any idea How bad is this for the plants? Is the whole season a write off?

Can someone please explain?

Image
I have started to grow tomatoes about 2 months ago and they are starting to get ready to bare. After planting them and they started growing i seperated them into 3 different pots(they all grew from 1 slice). The smallest one started to grow yellow flowers and i was just curious why the smallest one is growing flowers before the big one? There is a smaller plant in the pot with the big one but when i seperated the plants they were pretty strongly connected at the rootball so i thought they were just one plant, could this be the reason that my big one is not growing flowers yet, but the small one is?
